Welcome to QCMHA’s first-ever Case Competition in partnership with RBC!

This case competition consists of two rounds: the first round is a one-page memo and from there, the top 7 teams will move on to round 2, which is a live presentation in front of RBC managers and Smith Faculty. All delegates are welcome to listen to the Keynote Speaker, Kevin Rempel, on February 4th at 4:00 PM EST.

RBC is offering guaranteed interviews for the first place winning team of the RBC x QCMHA Case Competition 2021 and cash prizes to selected outstanding teams to donate to a charity of their choice on behalf of RBC, and free workshops to the top three teams. Imagine working at the largest bank in Canada and impacting communities through a charitable donation. #yourbeststartsnow

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Students must set up their teams of 2-5 students by January 20 at 11:59 PM EST. The case for round 1 will be available on January 21, and the memo must be submitted on January 26. The memo will be judged by a student panel: Dione Ng (QCMHA Spons. Coordinator), Megan Farrell (Jack.org Co-Lead), and Jacob Willms (Queen's for the Boys Co-Director). The 7 teams who have moved on to the second round will be notified on January 28th.

The one-page memo should essentially be a pitch for the solution to the case. Consider the problem, how the solution will tackle the problem, and any other important information, such as resources needed, implementation plan, etc. The memo is single-spaced, size 12, Times New Roman Font.

If you have any questions, please contact Ali Jones, the Case Competition Director, or Finn Price and Allegra Osborne, the QCMHA Co-Chairs, through the Riipen Chat function. Or you can email them at ali.jones@queensu.ca, finn.price@queensu.ca and allegra.osborne@queensu.ca.
