A four to five person team from Florida International University's International MBA Program will work with your organization for 12 weeks. Based on your company's objectives, the students can contribute to one or more projects. Projects must have an international component.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Planning: The MBA student will meet with an organization representative(s) to devise the project scope and specify the team's responsibilities. This will be followed up with a pitch deck to confirm scope and expectations within 7-10 days of the initial meeting.

Execution: The students will work on the deliverables outlined in the project plan(s) full time over a period of 12 weeks.

Teams will be managed and supported by a professor with significant consulting, project and strategy development experience.

Deliverables will vary for each organization. Teams will deliver a written project document and make a PowerPoint based presentation to the organization at the end of the project's term.

Project Examples

Beginning May 4, 2020 a four to five person team, comprised of International MBA students from Florida International University, will be paired with your organization to complete a research based project for 12 weeks.

The students typically have between 2-10 years of work experience and are among the top MBA students in the state of Florida. Their areas of focus are generally in the areas of marketing, finance, market research, growth strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, management and accounting.

Sample areas of focus for the students include, but are not limited to:

  • Analysis of new business inititiatives
  • Creation of Strategic Plans for existing and potential new business lines
  • Creation of Strategic Plans for start ups, entrepreneurs, small businesses
  • Providing an international expansion strategy for a growing business.
  • Conceiving, designing and developing marketing initiatives/strategy
  • Developing market analysis
  • Developing SWOT analyses, Competitor information, Goal Definition, Inspired Ideas, , Action Steps, Strategy Review tools
  • Identifying the scope of a certain technology within a particular sector (ex. financial); understanding best practices for implementing this technology across the globe and developing strategies to position your company
