Project Examples

Requirements

Starting this January, a group of five student-consultants will develop a thorough action plan for a project of your choosing. You should have a specific project in mind and some ideas about the scope.

In this course, students will apply theory, concepts, tools and skills learned throughout their Tourism Management degree to a team-based project for an industry client. Students will diagnose a real life organizational problem, develop a set of alternative solutions, and make a recommendation to the client based on a clear rationale. They will then determine an appropriate deliverable based on their recommendation to generate for the client. The project may include deliverables for one or more functional areas such as strategic planning, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, or technology.

Project examples include but are not limited to:

Marketing Initiatives

  • New Product or service launch
  • New Brand
  • New Training roll out
  • Policy change management
  • Sales Strategy
