We work in four different ways:
- Project Leadership Role - These are Interns who commit a minimum of 12 weeks. full time.. Typically part of a course requirement.
- Assignment - The students work in a group under the direction of a Professor. The work will be in class or independent. This may be highly interactive with Local Grown Salads or just a few meetings.
- Part Time - These are interns who work with us a 10 or so hours a week. We will put them on teams or provide specific deliverables.
- Consultancy- These projects are intended to be like consulting assignments. We provide an outline of what is needed, we meet once, and then Local Grown Salads receives a report.
- Research - These are research driven projects that are intended for professors who want to publish a paper.
We are looking for a Full Time Intern who can coordinate our Student Experience program.
They will do the following:
- Help identify all the roles we need filled
- Reach out to Universities on Riipen (and other platforms)
- Present our Student Experience story
- Identify new projects when presented with Professors
- Ensure the Students have an excellent experience with us
- Onboard/Offboard Students/Projects
- Find their own replacement
The person must be:
- Able to present with confidence
- Be able to "Grab the ball and run"
- Able to work in a somewhat chaotic environment as we are a startup
- Be incredibly organized - there are lots of people, projects, students to keep track of
- Wants to be part of a Very Fast Moving and world changing company
- Be able to work virtually and keep self motivated.

(Its true and its a pun on our Indoor Vertical Farming Technology)
We have ongoing relationships with Arizona State University, U of Texas, RMIT in Australia, University Canada West, to name a few..
We work with individuals or teams (typically doing a capstone)
We provide a Virtual work environment using Agile (using JIRA), Discord, AWS, ReTool, React Native, Postgres to name some of our tools.
Zoom, and other tools.
