El Locale is a start up platform that is seeking to secure funding through grants and establish strategic partnerships that align with the start-up’s mission, enabling sustainable growth, market expansion, and innovation.


This project will focus on identifying, applying for, and securing relevant grant opportunities while building partnerships with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders that can enhance the start-up’s visibility, resources, and market positioning.

Deliverables

Deliverables:

  1. Grant Applications:
  • Research and identify a minimum of 10 grant opportunities relevant to the start-up's industry and mission.
  • Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals tailored to each funding opportunity.
  • Create a tracking system for grant application deadlines, requirements, and follow-ups.
  1. Funding Research and Development

·      Research other funding opportunities such as VC capital

·      Refine pitch deck for presentation

·      Recommend funding options and determine viable opportunities

·      Populate CRM with opportunities

  1. Partnership Development:
  • Identify potential partners, including corporations, non-profits, universities, and industry leaders.
  • Develop partnership proposals highlighting mutual benefits and alignment with the start-up’s goals.
  • Initiate and conduct meetings with at least 5 potential partners to explore collaboration opportunities.
  1. Resource Allocation:
  • Develop a funding and resource allocation plan for grants and partnerships secured.
  • Prepare budgets, timelines, and detailed project plans for grant-funded initiatives or partnership projects.
  1. Reporting and Evaluation:
  • Provide bi-weekly updates on grant application status and partnership outreach efforts.
  • Track and measure the impact of grants and partnerships on business growth.


Timeline:

  • Phase 1: Conduct research and compile a database/CRM of grants and potential partners.
  • Phase 2: Develop and submit grant applications; initiate contact with potential partners.
  • Phase 3: Secure commitments, finalize agreements, and launch funded projects or partnership activities.

Success Metrics:

  • Securing at least two grants
  • Establishing two to three strategic partnerships within the project timeline
  • Generate measurable outcomes, such as increased revenue, resource access, or enhanced market presence, through secured funding and collaborations.

Key Stakeholders:

  • Internal: Start-up leadership team, professor Alexa Marko, project team .
  • External: Grant funding organizations, potential partners, legal advisors.

Risks and Mitigation:

  • Risk: Competition for grants may lead to rejections.
  • Mitigation: Diversify applications and focus on smaller, less competitive grants.
  • Risk: Delays in partnership agreements.
  • Mitigation: Build multiple leads to ensure progress despite setbacks.

This structured approach will position the start-up to maximize funding opportunities and build a strong network of partnerships for long-term success.
