Katamundi is a social impact movement for K-6th graders looking to make a positive difference in the world through service-learning and volunteerism. We are launching our Phase 1 social impact network as a mobile-optimized web app in mid-September.

We are now offering a Software Development project that will have student teams focus on building Phase 2 features as follows:

  • Work on Phase 2 features that may include 1+ of the following areas: Friends, Groups, Storefront, Gamification, and User-Generated Content (UGC) Creation Tools
  • Work with the software development team on programming front-end and back-end development of social network web app.
  • Work with the software development team on integrating third-party software services into our web app, such as Stripe and Google Analytics.
  • Work in an agile project team environment.

We are looking for individuals who have the following skills and experience:

  • MUST HAVE: Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Python 3
  • MUST HAVE: Experience with Django, Class-based views and RESTful API design
  • MUST HAVE: Experience with Database design and SQLReally
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience with React.js
  • NICE TO HAVE: Feels comfortable and has experience working in a Linux environment
