Our company has a patented dewatering truck prototype that is currently being field-tested, with drawings being prepared for commercial production. We are looking for a student or a team of students to prepare a market analysis to determine the competition, barriers to entry, potential market, price points, SWOT, etc. The primary goal for this project is to find an appropriate template for the market analysis and to complete a first draft.

The student(s) will need to interview stakeholders within the company to determine business goals for the product as related to a market analysis, then research market conditions, potential competitors, and other components of the market environment and business/product. The student(s) should be familiar enough with a market analysis to understand how to approach a market analysis in general.

The student will have access to all product stakeholders within the company; this is a small company with a very flat organizational structure. In addition, the student will be mentored by a supervisor who is experienced in business administration and business planning, with an MBA.
