Details

Our Electrical and/or Biomedical Engineering Intern will join our development team both in PERSON (in Montreal) and REMOTELY. You will be part of the team responsible for the set-up and execution of the in vitro study. You will assist the scientists in the different steps of the development. You will work on all electrical aspects of the devices to be used and also on the device to be developed.

Deliverables

The purpose of this internship is to help the company find a suitable function generator for an inVitro study. Since the voltage requirements are within the measurement noise of most function generators, this internship will provide an opportunity to learn the following:

1. Contact vendors and read data sheets to find a function generator capable of generating a two-phase signal ;

2. Research how to attenuate the two-phase signal to bring it into the desired range;

3. Assist in the installation of the function generator and power supply in a culture;

4. Assist in the construction of an electrically stimulated cell culture chamber;

5. Assist in setting up the system to begin the study.

Mentorship

The student will be accompanied by the company's scientific team and by various external collaborators.
