Details

I have a position available for 1 student for 80 hours to learn how to collect and statistically analyze data from participants who will complete visuomotor tasks using touch screens. These data will help us better understand how different types of visual information influence motor learning, and the degree to which we have conscious control over our actions. The students will gain hands-on experience with data collection and develop their data analysis skills. Each student will be asked to prepare a brief final report summarizing their findings.

Deliverables

Learn how to administer the visuomotor tasks and collect the necessary data.

Learn how to use the experimental software.

Complete 50 hours of in-person data collection at MacEwan University.

Complete 30 hours of data analysis and statistics (student can perform this work remotely).

Mentorship

I will provide all the necessary training, equipment, and computer hardware and software resources necessary to complete the project. I will also be directly involved in training the student, as well as assisting with data analysis. I will meet with the student at least once per week to monitor progress and provide assistance and feedback as needed.
