Katamundi is a social impact movement for K-8th graders looking to make a positive difference in the world through service-learning and volunteerism. We are launching our Phase 1 social impact network as a mobile-optimized web app in early 2021.

In this project, student teams may collaborate with Katamundi’s marketing and communications team on the following:

  • MARKETING: Develop a deep understanding of Katamund’s target market and user personas.
  • COMMUNICATIONS: Brainstorm and develop an effective content strategy that is inline with Katamundi’s brand identity, values, and mission across all communication platforms to build an online community, web app user base, and brand awareness.
  • COMMUNICATIONS: Develop new media content concepts to build Katamundi’s brand authority and awareness across all target areas of influence.
  • COMMUNICATIONS: Develop new campaign ideas
  • COMMUNICATIONS: Create an editorial calendar with well written and engaging content across communications platforms.
  • MARKETING: Develop content campaigns that have the potential for viral, word-of-mouth growth outcomes.

Candidate Requirements: We are looking for student-teams and individuals who have the following skills and experience:

  • MUST HAVE: Strong writing skills to create on-trend, relevant, and engaging content.
  • MUST HAVE: Strong people skills that support understanding how to engage with the public via social media channels and blog.
  • MUST HAVE: Strong entrepreneurial spirit to help solve problems and iterate to find effective content solutions.
  • NICE TO HAVE: Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
  • NICE TO HAVE: Strong graphic design skills and have experience using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design software.
