We are seeking a talented individual with expertise in character design and illustration for an exciting project involving the development of original characters for our mobile application. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in creating diverse and original character designs across various styles, including but not limited to human drawing, cartoon work, and digital art utilizing applications such as Procreate.

Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop original character designs.

Create sketches, drafts, and final illustrations in various styles as per project requirements.

Iterate on designs based on feedback and contribute to the overall artistic direction of the project.

Project Deliverables:

Character Development: Develop detailed profiles for 3 characters, including their backgrounds, personalities, and how these elements align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.

Visual Design:Create digital illustrations of the characters. Illustrations should cover a range of emotions and poses, designed with adaptability in mind to fit various content types and platforms.

Social Media Integration: Produce sample posts for Instagram and TikTok that demonstrate how the characters can be actively used to engage with users. These samples should highlight the characters’ versatility in storytelling and brand promotion.

Style and Usage Guide: Compile a concise guide detailing the visual and narrative style of the characters. This guide should include essential elements such as color palettes, typography, and a summary of each character’s personality and background to ensure consistency across all brand communications.

You will be collaborating with another designer on the team to conceptualize and develop original character designs.

You will have access to Slack channel where everyone communicates

You will spend time with Co-founder for constant feedback on designs on a weekly basis.
