Details

Our organization needs to prepare for rapid growth. To help us do that, we need to have the right people in the right places. We would like the help of students to modify our current organizational structure in a way that best manages our growth priorities.

To accomplish this, we believe students will need to:

  • Research the existing positions and personnel, create in-depth questions where information and data gaps are needed
  • Apply an understanding of effective organizational structures in our industry
  • Generate a projection for personnel needs
  • Complete a gap analysis for the skills and positions needed
  • Develop a proposal for a reconfiguration of our current organizational Structure
  • Work with Governance committee for research and to weave structural ideas into the governance document
  • This organization is currently a volunteer committee, we are looking towards structure the organization to have a board committee (volunteer) and executive staff (employed)
Deliverables

The final deliverables should take the form of:

  • A final report
  • A 30-minute presentation
  • Revised Governance document
  • Research on other board committee (ex. DOE insurance) and employee needs that the board can look into
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with the board chair and secretary as well as the governance committee to complete the task.
