This will involve:

  • This project has a strong focus on UX design
  • Conduct background research on existing mobile applications for the product.
  • Identify key areas of our current product and how they might translate to a mobile application.
  • Using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students using Figma as it is the latest and greatest tool currently available.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs for our mobile app for iOS and Android
  • Conduct UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Familiarize themselves with our solution
  • Familiarize themselves with Figma and understand how it works.
  • Design and build inside the design tool all the needed screens for a mobile application prototype of our product.
  • Present the final design screens to us with the context of all the choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.
  • Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this.

Final deliverables should include:

  • The design screens and all assets in a shareable format
  • A presentation as stated above of the final designs
Mentorship

Students will work closely with our product and engineering team to ensure that the designs are intuitive and meet the needs of our users. Connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • We will make available our existing competitor analysis, user-testing research and other metrics that have already been conducted.
  • Current product understanding
  • Industry-standard design tools and applications
  • Any sort of branding or styling advice
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter

The Peer Circle App is a beauty and wellness tech start-up focused on revolutionizing the way young people engage in meaningful conversations about their own beauty and wellness. We know how hard it is to find a safe space to connect and authentically express yourself with like-minded people who understand and support the real you without fear of judgment or pressure. With no judgment, no pressure, and the opportunity to be seen, heard, and understood, we are shaping a community where everyone can embrace their true selves and feel inspired by the journeys of others.
