Our company has a website for travelers to find businesses providing functional resources like coworking spaces, local apps, travel insurance, etc. It is pre-launch but there is a website that has some development on it (https://comfortlyt1dev.wpengine.com/). We would like a group of students to improve the design and build of the current website.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing yourself with our website and products to understand how they work.
• Researching potential improvements such as AI chatbots, recommendations based on user geo-location, better filtering for the database of vendors, etc.
• Developing code to improve the website search engine aspect and the code used to automate vendor sourcing
• Testing the prototype of the website and search engine with potential users

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

• Understanding of our website and products
• Understanding of the code they created and how it interacts with a final product

Final deliverables should include

• Code developed for the recommendation model and website search engine
• A written report describing the technologies that were used, the challenges that were faced, the model’s final outcomes, and recommendations for the project’s next steps.
