The goal of this project is to create a digital shop integrated with my existing WordPress website using Shopify. The store should be SEO optimized and allow for easy purchases of multiple courses and digital products that are delivered through LMS integration.



This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching and understanding Susan McVea's existing WordPress website and Shopify platform.


- Integrating the Shopify store with the existing WordPress website.


- Optimizing the store for SEO.


- Developing a system for easy purchasing of multiple courses and digital products.


- Integrating the store with an LMS for delivery of digital products.


Deliverables

The tasks that learners need to complete to achieve the project goal include:

  • Understanding existing WordPress website and Shopify platform
  • Designing the store layout and user interface.
  • Integrating Shopify with the existing WordPress website.
  • Optimizing the store for SEO.
  • Setting up payment processing.
  • Integrating the store with an LMS for delivering courses and digital products.
  • Testing the store for functionality and usability.


Final deliverables should include:

  • A fully functioning digital shop integrated with the existing WordPress website.
  • A report outlining the design process and outcomes.
Mentorship

Students will have full access to website & tools required to complete this project, such as, but not limited to:

  • WordPress - Divi theme
  • Shopify
  • LMS
  • Integrately/ Zapier
  • Canva Pro
  • Google Analytics
  • Heat Map tracking

Students can expect ongoing and regular feedback and communication by text & zoom meetings with Susan. Frequency is discussed specifically with the student to best support their learning style, but at minimum would be bi-weekly formal discussions with daily/ frequent text communication to address questions and provide timely feedback for the project.
