Details

Main goal is to achieve high battery efficiency at module level along with individual cell level through the application of the immersion cooling thermal management system. Also, to ensure that the cells maintain their SOC at extreme temperature variations.

Deliverables

- Constant tweaking of product design (battery module design)using CAD software, preferably SOLIDWORKS as testing begins.

- Develop other related battery module components and systems using CAD software.

- Undertake product simulations using CAD software.

- Assist in the development of the battery management system for a single PCB. Opportunity to use programming languages for the development.

- Undertake market research in the battery development and battery storage/energy storage industry and creating a document explaining different players, their strengths, weaknesses, business models and pricing.

Mentorship

Student will have access to Fetherstill's software, IP/designs along with an opportunity to work alongside professor/student at St Clair college in Windsor at the college premises and share/gather information on the RND project.

We understand that the beating heart of an electric vehicle or any energy storage system is its battery pack. Our team is now undertaking the design and development our own battery module which will be aimed at bringing in the most desired cell chemistry, striking a sound balance between weight, energy density and power, all functioning smoothly with an efficient thermal management system, well suited into our unique design to fulfill the major requirements of efficiency and performance. This module can be scaled to be effectively used in an electric vehicle, along with energy storage applications functioning in any industry from residential/commercial use to passenger transport to construction to agriculture.
