Details

Our company, Stush Patties, specializes in gourmet Jamaican patties for retail and food service businesses. We aim to revamp our current website and create a new one that reflects our brand's essence and appeals to both our direct clients (businesses) and indirect clients (consumers). The new website will not include online purchase features but must showcase store locations.

Project Objectives

We seek to collaborate with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain and provides an appealing user interface. This can be achieved using common site-building tools such as Wix, Webflow, and WordPress.

Project Steps

The project will involve several key steps for the students, including:

  1. Research: Investigating different site-building tools and their advantages/disadvantages.
  2. Needs Analysis: Conducting an analysis to determine which platform is most suitable for our needs.
  3. Website Development: Building the website with our assistance in providing content.
  4. Training: Providing training on how to update and maintain the website.

Bonus steps in the process could include:

  • User Testing: Testing prototypes with customers and refining ideas based on their feedback.

Tasks to Achieve the Project Goal

  • Understanding of Website Platform Options: Research and compare various site-building tools.
  • Identification of the Most Suitable Platform: Conduct a needs analysis and recommend the best platform.

  • Recommendations for Website Maintenance: Provide a guide or training session on maintaining and updating the website.

Bonus tasks include:

  • User Testing and Feedback: Test the website with real users and make improvements based on their input.

Final Deliverables

  • A Website Prototype: A functional version of the new website.
  • A Final Report: Documentation of the research, decisions made, development process, and maintenance recommendations.
