Details

Silverlight Productions Inc. is seeking a team of learners to assist in the pre-production phase of their upcoming documentary projects. The primary goal is to conduct research on a variety of subjects and topics to support the documentary's narrative and factual accuracy as well as the development of new materials. This project offers learners the opportunity to apply their organizational, research, and creative skills in a real-world setting, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and industry practices. Besides resarch, the student will use the material gathered to create pitch materials. By developing pitch materials, learners will also gain insight into the process of presenting and selling documentary concepts to potential stakeholders.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include well-organized research with appropriate categories and detailed contact information, availablility of similar shows already being broadcast, and idnetifiying potential audience targets. Additionally, a research report on specified topics will be compiled to support content for pitching a variety of documentaries. Finally, a set of pitch materials, including a presentation and a one-page summary, will be developed to effectively communicate a documentary's concept and appeal. These deliverables will collectively enhance the pre-production process and prepare the documentary for the next stages of development.
