Students engaged in this project will gather, synthesize and organize our company's information to create a Company Guide. The Company Guide will contain (but will not be limited to) our business plan, operations and in-depth product information.

The Company Guide will be a text document written in Google Docs and will be navigable via a table of contents.

The Company Guide is a crucial resource to be used by a team of students working in more detail on different aspects of the company development. The content managers will help the students access and develop the company information they need to complete their projects. For example, a team focusing on the company's financial plan can request documents needed for their work, and their final approved plan will become part of the Company Guide.

The Content Managers will communicate with the company owner to keep the overall vision of the project on track and to make recommendations for additional hires where necessary.

By the end of the project, the content managers will provide the Company Guide in a complete form as possible. They'll have developed their creative and managerial skills and will have increased their professional network to include students studying in other fields and at different institutions.

Deliverables

The Content Managers will undertake the following:

  • Gather, synthesize, organize and finalize existing company content. The company content sources are internal documents, the company website, the company social media profiles. Additional content will be generated directly with the company owner and via work with other students focusing on related projects.
  • The Content Managers will advise on areas that need further development and additional student hires.
  • The Content Managers will function as a point of access to the Company Guide for additional team members developing the various aspects of the Guide, and this will include email exchanges and virtual meetings.
Mentorship

The Content Managers will work closely with the company owner. Their exchanges will include:

  • Meetings on the development of the Company Guide
  • Meetings to provide additional content for the Company Guide
  • Meetings on the overall progress of the various teams

The company owner will provide suggestions and recommendation for different strategies and software to assist in the project completion. At any point, the students are welcome to ask questions related to entrepreneurship and business development.
