Making kits for the homeless population so that they have food, medical supplies and giving them to outreach teams. The goal is to develop a detailed plan that can be executed to maximize donations and community engagement. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of marketing, communications, and project management in a real-world setting, while also contributing to a meaningful cause. Key tasks include: - Researching successful crowdfunding campaigns in similar sectors. - Identifying and profiling potential donor demographics. - Developing a compelling narrative and visual content for the campaign. - Selecting appropriate crowdfunding platforms and setting realistic funding goals. - Creating a promotional plan to drive traffic to the crowdfunding page.
Grand Opening Marketing Campaign for Ability First Ottawa Inc.

The primary goal is to engage potential customers and drive pre-orders for their unique product line. The grand opening will feature celebrity appearances, providing an exclusive opportunity for customers to have their collectibles autographed. This project will require the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy that leverages social media, email campaigns, and local advertising to maximize reach and impact. The team will focus on creating engaging content that highlights the event's unique offerings and encourages community participation. By applying classroom knowledge of marketing principles, the team will help Ability First Ottawa Inc. achieve a successful launch and establish a strong customer base.
Ottawa Virtual Convetion
PROJECT SCOPE Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for an event planning student to plan an virtual event for 8 Bit Shinobi or to assist on an existing event. Skills required of the student: Marketing Communications - Recommend changes to advertising and PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign; create a rebranding campaign. Public Relations - Develop and implement a PR strategy; create collateral, including press releases, user testimonials, case studies, and customer stories. SEO Strategy & Recommendations - Develop and implement an SEO strategy; provide content suggestions and recommendations to increase search visibility; increase our inbound traffic and optimize the customer journey; increase inbound leads. Strategic Social Media Marketing - Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and/or other current communication channel(s); develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement leading up to the event; create a content calendar; creating useable social media and blog posts. Your goal at the end of this experience is help with the full execution of an event in a primary capacity. We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern(s) using these communication tools: (list expected channels - eg. Riipen messaging, company slack, email)
