This is a full-time co-op position in Spring/Summer term (May - August 2021). Market Research Analyst responsibilities include: Understanding business objectives and discovering methods to learn about prospective customers’ preferencesCollecting data on consumers demographics and behaviours and consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentationsAnalyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demandMake recommendations based off data analysis to help eSight discover more potential customersUse online market research to create a database of customer information Skills and Requirements for this role: Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-taskStrong communication and presentation skillsSearch engines, web analytics and business research tools acumenAdequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)Strong analytical and critical thinkingCurrently enrolled in a BS degree in Statistics, Marketing or related field· Market Research Analysis experience is an asset
Software Development Project
We are looking to have students identify and evaluate new software applications and technologies to meet user and/or organization needs. We are looking for a [new CRM system / new hosting platform for our website / procurement software to manage vendor contracts and payments]. Some of our requirements for this software are: .... Suggested applications should be compared based on features, pricing, security and reliability. In addition, developing prototypes of custom software and systems for review and ideal implementation would be an asset.
Research and Analysis
This project will include: Review and analysis of medical literature and research papers to find opportunities for keeping eSight at the bleeding edge of low vision wearable aid technology (both medical and technology journals) Gather all related material (research papers, publications) related to low vision and AMD/Diabetes, and relevant technologies for wearables Distill all the research into actionable items Organize current research and MVP development analysis, user data and market research in a quantitative summary Suggest next steps to improve the product offering KOL engagement Objective of this project: Audit, review and continue the Research Science Plan including data analysis of current market research, user data and features of MVP development; with the assistance of literature review and KOL engagement Resources we will provide: Research Science and Technology Plan Competitor analysis overview MVP development plans Final Project Deliverables by Student: Excel file containing data analysis A PowerPoint summarizing results Strategy and plans for improvement KOL relationships
