ACCT311 Teaching Assistant Spring 2023 aims to provide additional support to students that learn accounting principles. The main goal of this project is to assist faculty members who are teaching Principles of Accounting at MacEwan University in creating examples, developing model answers to questions and supporting the study of other students. This includes connecting with faculty members to get guidance and then helping other students in understanding some topics.
Level Up Organizational Change Analysis
The research project provides students with the opportunity to explore the process by which organizations change and transform with emphasis on what makes for effective change in organizations. Research activities will involve analyzing the intricacies/ details in organizational change management such as factors/conditions that facilitate or impede changes in organizations, and its implications on change components (i.e., change agents, change context, stakeholders, change initiatives, change management processes- the actual change). Findings from this research project will help inform the theory and practice of organizational change management.

SII Newsletter Development and Publishing
We are looking for a student to help develop and distribute a newsletter that supports our organizations' cause. We think this project will include: Creating a bi-monthly newsletter with helpful information so readers feel inspired Creating and soliciting materials to be published. Determining the features of a publication. Setting and enforcing deadlines. Working with the SII Program Coordinator to make a final determination about what will be published in an issue. Overseeing all operations of a publication. Increasing the email list for the newsletter
Animated Videos for Accounting and Finance
To check the accuracy of animated videos created for introductory management accounting and introductory finance courses.
Create a Database of Grants
Conduct a review of research grants in the areas of social entrepreneurship, minority entrepreneurship, and social innovation.

Engage students across all faculties in Social Innovation Institute (SII), Enactus and MacEwan Entrepreneurs Organization (MEO) events and programming.
Digital technology & Consumer well-being Literature review
This project will focus on a systematic literature review on the topic of how the use of digital technologies affects consumers’ well-being. The student will be expected to follow a systematic process of using selected keywords (which will be provided to the student) to identify articles to be included in the literature review, read the selected articles, summarize them in an excel table (template to be provided), and prepare a written document summarizing the main topics and findings from the literature.
School of Business - Promotional material
This project aims to develop a set of promotional material addressing prospective students. The expected output is as follows: - one-pager explaining the admission requirements and the possible pathways for prospective students through the different programs. - Promotional material for the different programs that are offered by the School of Business. The promotional material include, but not limited to, hard copies, multi-media, social media targeted advertisement, video clips,...etc.

Compensation Market Analysis
The Partner Company "CC" provides psychological services to Albertans. CC is undertaking a review and refresh of their compensation strategy and needs to understand their current competitive positioning, as well contemporary total rewards packages in the industry. The project requires developing a comprehensive environmental scan of compensation norms and trends in the partner company’s sector, and includes topics of a) compensation mix, b) ranges, averages, and customary levels of compensation, and novel and emerging compensation offerings. The package is sourced from publicly available information, as well as fee-based services if and when approved and paid for by the partner company.
