Description

Social Impact Movement (SIM) is a catalyst for social change in Miami, using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to build partnerships, raise awareness, educate, and inspire our community to take action on issues related to social justice, economic progress, and environmental changes. We equip leaders and changemakers with tools for advancing the SDGs. As the learning hub for sustainable development leadership, we are committed to developing programs that equip, inspire, engage, and educate future agents of change.

Our programs are designed to drive systemic change, enhancing the visibility of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and providing comprehensive training through active participation. This includes reading, writing, consuming visual content, and receiving education in social entrepreneurship. Our methodology contributes to forming global citizens who will assume pivotal roles in government, lead the corporations of the future, and generate a positive impact.

UI/UX Social Impact Movement website

Learners in this project will be challenged to design user interfaces and experiences that communicate and drive engagement towards social impact initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They will work on projects aimed at addressing pressing social and environmental issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate change through education and awareness. By the end of the project, learners are expected to have developed a deep understanding of how to leverage design principles and tools to create intuitive, visually appealing, and impactful digital platforms, websites, and applications. They will have honed their skills in user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions. Additionally, learners will have gained practical experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining design systems for consistency, and ensuring seamless implementation of designs across different platforms. This is a great chance to use your design skills to drive positive change and contribute to meaningful social impact initiatives. If you're excited about using your design skills to drive social change, we'd love to hear from you!
