  • Applying methodological and subject-specific economic knowledge to a project's research, evaluation, management, or analytical aspects. Practical application of economics, using econometric models, statistical analysis, and other quantitative and qualitative research tools.
  • Understanding and critically analyzing the organizational context of the assigned agency, including its mandate, objectives, philosophy, policies, functions, and their role within the larger community and socio-economic environments.

Project Pitch:


MacEwan Economic students are seeking field placement opportunities for the winter term, ideally starting in January. Placements can be approximately 50-100 hours and can involve service directly within an organization, completing a meaningful project for an organization, or a combination of both.
