In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Advance Ontario Centennial Experience
PRIVATE CENTENNIAL EXPERIENCE FOR CENTENNIAL STUDENTS ONLY Advance Ontario connects eligible Ontario post-secondary students with remote internships to build in-demand skills. Ontario employers mentor students through paid 60-hour projects over 2-8 weeks. Powered by Riipen, the program promotes workforce diversity and aims to create lasting job opportunities while boosting Ontario’s economy. Visit our Help Centre to read our key dates , FAQs & our Terms and Conditions . Employers: Submit your project match request by February 14th, 2025 to participate in this cohort. You'll review applications and choose 1-4 students for your project. You must accept at least one student by February 28th, 2025 to participate. The project can start anywhere from January 20th, 2025 until March 3rd 2025 , and work cannot begin until the start date. Students must complete the onboarding survey, click "start project" on Riipen and complete all deliverables, including 60 work log hours, in at least 2 weeks or by the end date. Check out Getting Started with Advance Ontario: Employers for more information. Students: Students are invited on a first-come, first-served basis and must apply here. There are 50 spots in this cohort, and once filled, remaining applications will be canceled. If invited, you must apply to projects by February 28th, 2025 and start by March 3rd, 2025 if accepted. You can apply to THREE projects at a time. Once an employer accepts one of your applications, your remaining applications will be canceled, and that project will be yours for the rest of the cohort.
Quantitative Methods and Strategic Decision Making
The course of Quantitative Methods equips students with essential skills in applying quantitative techniques to solve real-world problems in business, healthcare, management, and other industries. Learners will focus on interpreting data, formulating mathematical models, and making informed decisions based on their analysis. With foundational knowledge in probability, regression, linear programming, and decision-making under uncertainty, students will use tools like MS Excel and Excel QM to drive data-backed insights. Employers are expected to provide regular guidance, offer access to all relevant project information, participate in virtual feedback sessions. Your constructive feedback will help students refine their problem-solving and decision-making skills through practical application.
Early Childhood Education Virtual Placement Winter 2025

Bring a group of students from the Early Childhood Education program at Mohawk College to be your virtual interns! Students are looking for opportunities to pursue their special interests and passion in a placement experience. In these varied settings, students will engage with children, families, staff, and other professionals. Students will be supported throughout their field placement experience by further enhancing their understanding of Pedagogy for the Early Years with a focus on the four foundations: Belonging, Well-Being, Engagement, and Expression. Students are available for 20-26 hours (unpaid) of placement project time from Wednesday, February 5 to Friday, April 4, 2025 (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) in a virtual or in person (Hamilton or area) capacity. Students will not work during the Reading Week scheduled for Feb 17 to Feb 21.

3rd and 4th year undergraduate business students working in 3-5 person teams will conduct research to develop an actionable strategy to solve a leadership development challenge faced by your organization, stakeholders, and/or clients. For example, they can design leadership training programs incorporating the latest virtual and in-person designs and gamification ideas. Example topics are stress management, communication skills, negotiation skills, giving feedback, goal setting, managing teams, leading change.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Saskatchenwan Polytechnic to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. International students bring a unique perspective, having experienced the challenges of working in other countries, with a diverse range of skills. They are currently enrolled in an HR Generalist class, poised to apply the latest concepts directly into practice.
Data Science and Analytics (University of Calgary)
My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program. Please note that learners will register for their internship between May and August 2025. If you wish to start working with them during this period, it would be ideal.
