Interactive Design Work Placement/Client Directed Project
PROJ 101
Students will be seeking a client directed opportunity as an option for their final project. These projects can vary in scope but should reflect a full scale project in industry. This is a great opportunity to get a start on a new project, revise something that has become outdated, or generate new content without having to fully commit to hiring someone or contracting a firm. The details for the Client Directed Project are as follows: It is a 60 hour unpaid project. The client directed project must be started and completed within March 20 - April 26, 2021, or as close to those dates as possible. Students are expected to observe, practice, and work on an interactive media project in order to give them experience within the industry. The client directed project course gives the student the chance to demonstrate their technical, artistic and organizational skills, and to continue developing their creative problem-solving skills in an applied manner.
Strategic Marketing Analysis
MKTG226
In this capstone project, student-consultants working in small groups will apply their knowledge in marketing to help your organization seize a marketing opportunity, develop a strategic marketing plan, or solve a current marketing challenge. The students will use marketing research, communications planning, strategy, and marketing best practices to create a report and presentation.
Internet Of Things Solution Development
IOT 100
The students will create an IOT (Internet of Things) solution for a real world problem. This project will begin in September and will wrap up in December. Over this time the students will create an IOT device that will track and monitor its surroundings. The device will be tasked with collecting data that can be used to solve an industry related problem, or streamline a process.
Remote Sensing
Our students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic have a diversity of experiences and skills that they will be able to apply in focused research placements with your organization. The minimum duration of students projects begins at three months but will ideally last for longer than one year. The majors of our students include Mining, Geography, Agriculture, and GIS. We have intakes for students starting in May 2022. Grant funding will be received for the projects - depending on the project, employers may be responsible for financially matching a portion of the funding. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, experiences may take place virtually.
