Sustainability and Cross Cultural Engagement through the Arts
ART 233
This experience invites industry partners to collaborate with learners who have explored key art movements from prehistory through the medieval period. Students bring valuable skills in visual literacy, historical research, and cross-cultural communication, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to projects in the arts, heritage, and cultural sectors. Their ability to interpret and recontextualize artistic traditions can support creative, research-based, or interpretive work. Building on experiences like Salem State University's Trash to Art initiative —a binational, sustainability-focused project with Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico—students are also prepared to engage with themes of environmental awareness, public education, and global collaboration through artistic expression.
Sustainability: Is It Good for Business?

This is a First-Year Seminar entitled "Sustainability: Is It Good for Business?" Students will complete their 8-hour Bloomberg Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) certificates and will cover diffferent sustainability topics in class. The learners are capable of doing research, writing social media posts, etc.
ITE 340-Create Website and Evaluate User Interfaces

This experience focuses on the principles of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), where learners explore how to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Participants will have the capability to apply user-centered design methodologies, conduct usability testing, and create interactive prototypes. The objective is to bridge the gap between theoretical HCI concepts and practical application, enabling learners to enhance user experiences in real-world projects.
Applied Financial Analysis for Business Projects
ACC 306
This experience is designed for undergraduate-level learners with a strong foundation in accounting principles. Participants are equipped to apply their knowledge to real-world financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision-making projects. Learners will engage in projects that require them to analyze financial statements, assess financial health, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance. This experience bridges classroom learning with practical application, enabling learners to contribute effectively to industry projects.
