We would like to revamp our marketing as we are always releasing new books. In addition, we recently acquired another publishing company and need to work on a strategy to integrate the marketing for both companies.
Together with our marketing team, we would like students to design new promotional material for our books. Based on our insights and additional research, students will develop promotional marketing materials for our existing media and make recommendations on alternative media to consider.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services.
- Assessing our existing marketing strategy and efforts.
- Recommending marketing tactics to promote our new product such as exclusive previews and introductory offers.
- Designing promotional material for various media.
- Making multiple versions of marketing materials and testing them for comparison.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Familiarity with our target market, products and services
- Assessment of our marketing strategy
- Recommendation of marketing tactics
- Design of promotional material
Bonus steps would include:
- Creating and testing marketing materials
Final deliverables should include
- A final report.
- A 10-minute presentation.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Our products and services
- Our current understanding of the target market
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
