Our company is in the process of acquiring new businesses and expanding our market reach. To ensure a successful acquisition strategy, we are seeking to gain insights into how our target audience perceives our brand and competitors. This will help us identify our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing approach.

We are looking to collaborate with students to conduct a comprehensive competitive analysis of our target businesses. This project will involve several key steps:

  • Familiarizing students with our company, its products/services, and our target market.
  • Identifying current and potential future competitors in the market.
  • Creating a matrix to compare features and offerings between our company and competitors.
  • Summarizing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the identified competition.

As a bonus, we would also like students to recommend strategies for differentiating our company through product/service offerings and messaging.

  • This project will provide valuable insights that will inform our acquisition strategy and help us achieve our business growth objectives. We are excited to work with talented students who are eager to apply their skills to real-world business challenges.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarizing students with our company, its products/services, and our target market.

Bonus steps would include:

Final deliverables should include

Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our products and target market
  • Our known competitors
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
