Our company is in the process of acquiring new businesses and expanding our market reach. This project will involve several key steps: Familiarizing students with our company, its products/services, and our target market. Identifying current and potential future competitors in the market. Creating a matrix to compare features and offerings between our company and competitors. Summarizing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the identified competition. As a bonus, we would also like students to recommend strategies for differentiating our company through product/service offerings and messaging. This project will provide valuable insights that will inform our acquisition strategy and help us achieve our business growth objectives. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on customer journey mapping, our products and customers. Analyzing customer responses from surveys and interviews. Defining the phases and touchpoints of the purchasing process. Incorporating user actions, emotions, goals, and pain points in the customer journey map. Proposing solutions to minimize pain points while meeting business goals. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Developing multiple customer journey maps to account for different experiences and paths.

Financial Business Plan

We are excited to be launching a new business, (name of business and brief description of what the company will do). With any launch, having a financial plan is one of the keys to success, and we would like to involve students in creating one for our new venture. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Learning about our business strategy from various employees to become familiar with our goals, mission, and products. Creating forecasts using Excel (or another financial software) for sales in the first year of operation as well as an income projection (conservative and aggressive). Working with our team to develop an expense budget. Conducting a break-even analysis timeline using financial projections. Reporting on projected assets and liabilities. Including visual comparisons such as graphs and charts to show the differences between the conservative and aggressive income projection.
