marketing copy field testing software product managementOur company has an existing software product and a hardware product in development, and part of any good product is continual testing.
We would like you to test and give detailed feedback of our soccer training product. This requires knowledge and capability as a soccer player.
This will involve:
- Utilizing our phone application on your own to test it in various outdoor environments to give feedback on lighting, visibility, battery usage, etc.
- Being part of our on-field testing for the hardware product. This will happen 2-3 times for 1.5 hours per session. Once again, detailed feedback will be required afterwards including outcomes, issues, how it differs from normal training without the technology, improvements and benefits
- Recording and giving detailed feedback on the product from a user perspective. We want to know how you benefit as a user by continually using this product.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Assisting in developing content and marketing copy and materials.
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:
- Familiarize themselves with our product and its requirements
- Give detailed feedback and track development along the way of usage. Including, but not limited to familiarity with the software, desire to use again, outcomes from a performance perspective and suggested improvements and benefits both from a design and feel as well as features.
- Design and create additional features that would be prioritized for next stages of development
- Participate in on-field testing (requires in-person collaboration)
Bonus steps would include:
- Developing/contributing to any marketing/copy materials. We want to hear the voice of users and therefore want to include the feelings, outcomes, benefits in your own words.
Final deliverables should include
- Written report of their experience and development with the app in a cohesive document.
- Video and/or audio recorded immediately after usage of the application to capture experiences.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Current product understanding and user journeys
- Detailed feedback on usage and development outcomes
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter
We will also touch base in weekly meetings to guide discussions and also give insight into the product development and testing priorities from a technology perspective.
Students will work and report directly with the CEO of the company and some technical staff including but not limited to the (UI/UX designer, data scientists and app developer)
