New Website Design
Our company provides 3 distinct services: bookkeeping, financial advisory, and personal tax returns. However, our current website is outdated and requires updating. A strong and exciting marketing strategy with a new name has been accepted. Now the firm needs an engaging and professional website aligned with a new rebranding and marketing strategy. We would like to collaborate with students to overhaul our web presence that help new and existing users to navigate the site and find up-to-date information. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Designing and implementing a professional and attractive website to drive new business growth. A full redesign of the firm's website from scratch to clearly communicate our value proposition in our three product offerings. We will assist in providing the content, as well as examples of websites that are aligned with our vision. Recommend potential upgrades or features that can be included in the website If time allows: Brand visuals, including logo and colouring aligned with our new name SEO Optimization

Strategic Expansion Project
As a company, we currently exist in one market (Kamloops), but we are ready to consider new locations. With your help, we hope to assess the costs, connectivity, and market & staffing attractiveness of the best 3 communities to consider for our next physical location. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Identify all BC communities larger than 30,000 that have the best potential for success. Identify all Alberta communities larger than 30,000 that have the best potential for success. Screen communities with less than ideal profiles determined by the firm. Develop a weighted decision criteria to assess attractiveness of communities using Porter's 5 Forces as a basis. Examples of possible decision criteria are: strength and quality of direct competitors, numbers of small/medium businesses, average cost of office rent, connectivity with Kamloops, unemployment rates and quality of staffing pool, etc. Interview specific market stakeholders to determine attractiveness of each community in relation to our industry. Compile a report including an assessment and prioritization of the top 3 communities to expand into. If additional hours permit, design an Action Plan (who does what by when costing how much?) to launch a new office in a new community.
