Market Research and Data Visualization for Central Kootenays Forestry Industry

The main goal for the project is to support the FIR engagement by identifying suitable data sets relevant to the Central Kootenays forestry industry, collecting and congregating data sets from various sources, and visualizing the identified data sets in the form of graphs in Excel and/or PowerPoint. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Working closely with the project lead to understand the requirements and goals of the FIR engagement. - Identifying suitable data sets relevant to the Central Kootenays forestry industry. - Collecting and congregating data sets from sources such as BC Stats, Census, Industry Associations, Commodity Trading Platforms, Selkirk College, Real Estate Boards, and other entities. - Visualizing the identified data sets in the form of graphs in Excel and/or PowerPoint.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Meeting with the company to understand their brand, target audience, and specific requirements for the website. - Designing the layout and user interface of the website. - Developing the website using appropriate programming languages and tools. - Integrating a booking system and blog section into the website. - Testing the website for functionality and responsiveness on different devices. - Making any necessary revisions based on feedback from the company.
