Bio

Leslie Andrachuk is the Co-Founder and CEO of Alpha Woman, a multi-platform network that includes a digital publication, a membership-based community, an events platform, podcast, video channel and marketing consulting. Our mission is to help Alpha Woman entrepreneurs live their best lives physically, mentally, professionally and financially.

Prior to launching Alpha Woman 3.5 years ago, Leslie spent over 25 years as a global digital publishing and marketing executive, having headed up digital publishing for 5 media titles at The Toronto Star, marketing at The Globe and Mail, and spent many years in production and sales at Global Television. Leslie also worked overseas with a number of global brands, launching an ISP for Vodafone Romania and heading up an Account Team for McCann Erickson Romania where she managed brands such as Coca-Cola, L’Oreal and Unilever.

Leslie earned her BA in French Literature from York University and is an avid skier.

Digital Publication Translation - English to French

Positions available: 4 Alpha Woman is a multi-platform media company that helps Alpha Women step into their power and optimize their lives physically, mentally, professionally and financially. We have a digital publication at www.alphawomanco.com, a podcast (in English), and a video channel, as well as our social media channels. Our digital publication is 3.5 years old, and is published in French and English. We have always been committed to ensuring we reach French speakers in Canada and around the globe, however, due to resource restrictions, and with over 1300 pieces of content in the digital publication, we have only been able to translate about 80 %to 90% of our content. This is your opportunity to contribute to female empowerment by translating our important content into French. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Translate 20 to 40 already published articles over the term of the project (80 hours), from English into French Publish the translation on the Alpha Woman Wordpress CMS (training will be provided) Students will also become part of the Young Alpha Intern cohort, with Interns from around the world as alumni. If you are bilingual, like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.

Social Media Marketing

Intern Opportunity – Social Media Marketing Alpha Woman’s mission is to help women everywhere live their best lives physically, emotionally and professionally so we can be the brave pioneers who lead the world into a new era. We envision a world where women of diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and orientations occupy half of all leadership positions, in all industries and governments, by 2034. Alpha Woman is a digital media and events organization. Our multi-platform media company includes a digital publication, a podcast, a video channel, a store and events both online and off. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, entrepreneurial, self-motivated student who wishes to learn about social media marketing in the field. This intern will help us source, curate, write, produce, and post on our social media channels content implementing strategies to increase awareness and drive purchase of the Alpha Woman Learning Centre courses. Based on our goals, we are looking for the student to work on the following: Content Calendar Curation: input in strategy and timely deployment of all our social media content to Alpha Woman social media channels Social Media Management: overseeing different channels that we own and keeping them up-to-date: 1. Post social media posts following approved content calendar 2. Create any images required for posting to social using Canva 3. Increase followers: Comment on, follow and like other like-minded brands and influencers 4. Respond to or forward any customer service requests 5. Increase engagement; respond to comments, likes etc. on proprietary posts 6. Reporting - Using approved KPI's, report on impact of marketing tactics (e.g., establish marketing funnel - traffic by source to website/landing page/course conversion. Qualifications: · Excellent command of the English language · Strong understanding of and some experience with social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Clubhouse, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter · Self-motivated and strives for self-improvement · Exceptional time management and organizational skills

Reporter - Indigenous Women Leadership

Positions available: 4 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Alpha Woman is a media company that helps Alpha Women step into their power and optimize their lives physically, mentally, professionally and financially. We are seeking to comprehensively cover how Indigenous women are rising up to challenge colonialism, and heal. We are seeking to use our platform to help the world learn from and about Indigenous women leaders. We are looking for Indigenous content creators that can create content in the form of written content, video, audio content, special newsletter series or events or a combination of the aforementioned. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Assist in articulating an editorial strategy and calendar; responsible for assigned content creation aligned with strategy Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Publish their work on the Alpha Woman Wordpress CMS (training will be provided) Be a strong interviewer - much of our content is interview based Possess strong research and communication skills as well as the ability to put together a journalistic piece based upon the 5 "w"s Bring ideas for Alpha Woman coverage of Indigenous women leader to the table Ultimately, you will be working on editorial content creation for our organization, including interviews, researched articles, and video series. This student will have a byline on Alpha Woman and will create a portfolio of work for their resume. Students will also become part of the Young Alpha Intern cohort, with Interns from around the world as alumni.
