Bio

Hello! My name's Alyssa. I'm a fourth year English major at SFU, who is also pursuing a Publishing minor. I've always been interested in writing; since high school, I've been tutoring others. Previously, I've volunteered at SFU as a Peer Educator. As a peer educator, I helped edit student's work for grammar, and provide specific tips and examples so they further develop their understanding of English. I've previously stood as an editor on two student journals: HiPo, a journal specializing in history, and the Lyre, which specializes in short essays, translations, and more. While I love working on student journals, I also want to broaden my horizons elsewhere by making content. I'm super excited to be a part of Riipen, and thank you for your consideration!
