Book Publication: Phase 1 (Medical/Health) FULL
Positions available: up to 200 total students, working in groups of 12 We would like students to write and publish books. For phase 1 of this initiative, students will focus on medical health topics. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work with team pod of students to help write two books, one book each week write 2200 to 4000 words each week and edit other team (pod) members work on collective document upload documents for publication as books onto research sites keep with schedule and work as book writing team This project will be ongoing over 8 weeks, with different books being produced in each two-week segment. There will be 4 project postings on Riipen that students can apply for. Each phase will run for two weeks.

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work with a team (pod) of students to help write two books, one book each week write 2200 to 4000 words each week and edit other team (pod) members work on collective document upload documents for publication as books onto research sites keep with schedule and work as book writing team This project will be ongoing over 8 weeks, with different books being produced in each two-week segment. This project will begin November 7 following a kick-off meeting and orientation for all student-hires. The end-date for the project and deliverable submission deadline is December 5 at 11:59 PM MST. The Antarctic Institute of Canada (AIC) is a non-profit organization that conducts research activities, academic mentorship programs, and equity building through a variety of government-funded work initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students. The AIC is seeking 100 (one hundred) post-secondary students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program to author a variety of texts for publication. Topics and guidelines will be determined following the kick-off meeting. Participants will produce a finalised deliverable of a minimum 3000-word article. Applicants must be comfortable writing according to a variety of conventions and formats and within diverse topic-areas.

2024 Level Up Comms B - Introduction to Indigenous Communications
This Level Up Project is for students who wish to learn and develop their communications skills across cultures. This is the one of a gradual multiple step learning experience in Indigenous Communications. Project Details: In this project level students will watch 6 Indigenous Education videos, complete corresponding reflection pages for each, and attend respective team meetings. Students will shadow and work alongside a Communications specialist to continue becoming more proficient with general communications, and journalistic communications while also becoming familiar with Indigenous communications. The goal of this project is to equip students with the necessary skills to competely work with IISB, an Indigenous organization, to develop communications assets. Students who complete this level of communication project, will then be eligible to go on to the next level of communications projects.
2024 Level Up Comms C - Introduction to Building Relations Communications
This Level Up Project is for students who wish to learn and develop their communications skills across cultures. This is one step of a multiple step learning experience in Indigenous Communications. Project Details: In this project level students will continue to watch further Indigenous Education videos, complete corresponding reflection pages for each, and attend respective team meetings. Continuing to shadow and work alongside a Communications specialist, students will learn to combine two worlds using the teachings from the first two level up projects to discover the difference between Western and Indigenous communication styles and techniques. The goal of this project is to equip students with the necessary skills to completely work with IISB, an Indigenous organization, to develop communications assets. Students who complete this level of communication training, will then be eligible to go on to the next level of communications projects.
