SEO & Social Media Strategy to Drive Electronics & Clothing Recycling

Number of positions available: Up to 3 Our team is looking for a social media marketing wizard who can help us drive more traffic and improve our SEO positioning. The primary project requirements include: 1. Keyword analysis to determine relevant search terms to our organization 2. A strategy document to outline: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) requirements to ensure our organization appears on the first page of Google for relevant keywords Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share 3. Content Calendar Execution: Timely deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site 4. Creating engaging content for prominent media websites We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm, but also execute a strategy to achieve better awareness of the problems associated with electronic and textile waste and the solution of doorstep collection by Retrievr. Our goal is to reach 5% participation in our current service area (we are currently at 2% with minimal marketing). This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

Positions Available: 1 Join Local Investing YYC at the frontier of social finance and local investing in Alberta as we advance our vision of Albertans investing in Calgary’s local economy for a sustainable future. We are looking for an student looking to apply their communication skills in real time for the betterment of people and the planet. This is an extraordinary learning opportunity as Local Investing YYC is actively raising capital with a goal of raising up to $2 million to invest in 5-8 local businesses in Calgary. Key areas of responsibility As a Local Investing YYC communications intern you will be working closely with the community engagement committee to attract and engage investors and broaden awareness of Local Investing YYC within the Calgary community. This includes: Developing marketing assets Preparing communications (e.g., press release to announce new investees, social media content including graphics) Designing and writing impact reports for investor members Identifying channels to engage local businesses and potential investors This is a part time position (5-15 hours per week) with a high degree of flexibility.

Julie Williams has enjoyed being the official photographer for a number of high-profile organizations including the Women's Law Association of Ontario and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Her images have received international recognition and awards. Julie combines her passion for photographing nature, landscapes and travel to offer custom art work products of her images through her online art gallery. Julie is looking for an individual to help develop engaging content and to design and implement promotional material for her website. The ideal candidate will share a love of photo journalism and possess strong creative writing skills to assist with: content writing to describe the product offerings; updating of the website with the descriptions and creating relevant tags/ labels to assist with internet search; and creation of promotional material for monthly email newsletters and social media campaigns.
