Graphic Design Internship - Level Up

Intern ment to cultivating the next generation of business and design thinkers, Railyard Lab is a student innovation lab that gives design and business students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain meaningful experience through work with charities, not-for-profits, and social impact organizations! Over the past 9 years, Railyard has run 9 cohorts with an alumni network of 40 ‘Yardies’ working in some of the biggest tech organizations, leading design studios, start-ups, and social venture organizations across Canada. Graphic Design Intern Dossier and Railyard Lab are seeking a Graphic Design Intern to work alongside the January 2022 Railyard cohort in creating branded assets for client projects. Communication: We will communicate with our virtual intern through Slack and Zoom calls. Primary contact: Alison Cowling, Operations & Intern Manager Mentorship and supervision : Alison Cowling will be the main point of contact and meet with the student weekly or twice a week if needed, all via Zoom, and will be reachable via Slack and email at any point and will help steer the strategic direction of the project.

Visual & Digital Design Internship

As part of Dossier's commitment to cultivating the next generation of business and design thinkers, Railyard Lab is a student innovation lab that gives design and business students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain meaningful experience through work with charities, not-for-profits, and social impact organizations! We are seeking support from two interns - a Marketing Intern and a Visual & Digital Design Intern - to complete an audit of the Dossier and Railyard online presence and implement recommendations to optimize our website and social media channels. Visual & Digital Design Intern The primary focuses will be on: Website and UX strategy audit and implementation of recommendations Lean user research to gain an understanding of areas of opportunities for our online presence Visual Design: create visuals for the website and share them on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter Website front-end and back-end development (if required) Goals of this internship: Create a cohesive storyline that showcases the work of Dossier and Railyard Lab Design a repeatable process that will be used (with tweaks and alterations) in the future. Systems Design Internship

Dossier and Railyard Lab are seeking a Design Intern to work with senior management on optimizing its design methodologies and processes. This is required for more effective collaboration in a remote working environment. The project will entail systems design analysis, envisioning optimal design systems, documenting and visualizing various research, strategy, and design methodologies and processes for enhanced team collaborations. Systems Design Intern The primary focuses will be on: Discovery research to identify existing tools, methodologies, and processes Ideating and developing presentation templates for repeatable processes Content flow schematics, copy generation, and visual communication design Optimizing and building out collaborative process in online tools like Miro Presenting use case scenarios to the team, iterating on feedback, and providing final deliverables Goals of this internship: Create a cohesive set of optimized process and systems workflow tools and templates for Dossier and Railyard Lab Design a repeatable process that will be used (with tweaks and alterations) in the future.
