Grey-box - Digital Content Creation (SDG-Focus)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Our team is looking for 2 students that want to help launch a new product in the NGO and consumer-giving space. Your work will directly help us reach remote communities in accordance with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Grey-box is a graduate of District 3 Innovation Center - and won the award for best business model across all cohorts (a first for a social innovation startup!). We are a nonprofit structured under the principle of mobile-first and remote-first, using the agile sprint methodology. Diversity is not only encouraged, it is an integral part of the strength of the team and its projects; we have team members living all around the world. HOW MANY STUDENT INTRAPRENEURS WILL THIS PROJECT ACCOMMODATE?/DE COMBIEN D’ÉTUDIANTS AVEZ-VOUS BESOIN POUR EXÉCUTER CE PROJET? This project will accommodate 2 student intrapreneurs. TIME COMMITMENT PER STUDENT/TEMPS DE TRAVAIL PAR ÉTUDIANT: The time commitment per student is 70 hours in total, which averages to 10 hours/week when spread over 7 weeks. KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES/TÂCHES ASSOCIÉES AU PROJET: Research and implement ways to align company operations and digital content with the UN SDG’s (ie. write a blog about SDG #4: Quality Education) Engage potential partners in conversations to write case studies and engaging digital content that showcases strategies used by our community to advance impact management and the SDGs Creation of impact assessment tracking tools and visualization Create an engaging fundraising strategy and develop webpage copy that connects our mission, our communication objectives and our work IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:* You have experience with social media platforms (notably Instagram and Linkedin) You enjoy working on multiple projects at the same time You are fond of self-learning and autonomous work, (i.e. you are not afraid to use Google) FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES/LIVRABLES DU PROJET: The ‘ Nonprofit Guide to SDG Integration ’, a visual report that Grey-box will utilize for future email marketing and newsletter campaigns Content for Grey-box inaugural newsletter PROJECT MENTOR NAME/NOM DU MENTOR DU PROJET: The project mentor for this project is Firuza Huseynova, Head of Digital Strategy (firuza.huseynova@grey-box.ca)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Students must research different topics, articles, and blogs within the categories of: Business, Entrepreneurship, Startups, Economics, Crypto & Security Assets, Business Motivation, Personal Management / Motivation, and other startup related topics. FINAL DELIVERABLES: Researching content ideas based on categories and creating drafts: The team is tasked with researching data that can be translated into a short form of information or a series of information to be used as social media content. This can be quotes, facts, news headlines, information & tips, or articles & and blog posts. Example: Finding a research article on 10 ways to improve brands and translating each of the 10 ways into a series of individual posts that can be posted throughout the weeks or month. Reviewing drafts and confirming the accuracy of research data: The data must be reviewed and verified that it is accurate and unbiased. This must be completed before it can be further worked on and scheduled to be posted. Example: Not urging people to sell/buy a certain security or crypto currency, biased opinions & criticism, etc. Instead it should show statistical data on how a certain security/crypto currency is up 2500% over the past 4 months. Creating a backlog of content to be scheduled in future months: To be completed once the data is reviewed, approved, and converted into a social media post format. It will be scheduled to a slot on the calendar where content releases are scheduled. How many student entrepreneurs will this project accommodate? 5 students What is the time commitment per student? 70 hours
