Digital Health Platform Go-To-Market Strategy
LOCVM Inc. is seeking a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to expand the user base of its digital health platform. LOCVM is a centralized platform that makes it easy for clinics and hospitals to find, book, and manage temporary physician coverage, also known as locum tenens. We provide an end-to-end solution that replaces outdated, manual workflows with a streamlined digital experience. Our goal is to modernize how physician coverage works—making it faster, more compliant, and less stressful for both healthcare providers and institutions. The goal of this project is to identify and analyze potential market segments, understand user needs, and develop targeted marketing strategies to effectively reach and engage these audiences. The project will involve researching current market trends, evaluating competitor strategies, and identifying unique value propositions that distinguish LOCVM's platform from others. Learners will apply their knowledge of marketing principles, consumer behavior, and digital marketing techniques to create a strategic plan that aligns with LOCVM's business objectives. The project will culminate in a presentation of the proposed strategy to LOCVM's leadership team.

Web App UI / UX Design Improvement (Desktop and Mobile)
Our company, Locvm.ca , already has a functional web application that was founded to meet the growing demand for flexibility in healthcare staffing. We are now looking to improve the user experience and user flow through thoughtful redesign, optimization, and usability enhancements. This will involve: Conducting background research and a full UX review of our current web application. We will provide a walkthrough, analytics data, and other resources to help students get up to speed. Identifying pain points, areas of confusion, and opportunities for improved navigation, layout, and information hierarchy. Prioritizing improvements that can deliver the most value to our users—especially around content discoverability and ease of interaction. Learning and using modern UI/UX design tools to create a fully interactive prototype. Designing a screen-by-screen user journey that works well across desktop and mobile devices. Conducting user testing and gathering feedback through paper prototypes, moderated sessions, or digital tools.

Our start-up was founded to meet the growing demand for flexibility in healthcare staffing. This project will focus on setting up recurring weekly and monthly analytics processes to track Locvm’s growth, user engagement, and content performance. The goal is to use all available data sources—including raw research data, Google Analytics, email campaign stats, and social media metrics—to generate actionable insights and build automated dashboards that visualize Locvm's growth over time. We would like to collaborate with students to analyze our raw datasets. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Gaining an understanding of Locvm’s mission, content strategy, and audience Cleaning and validating internal research datasets Performing statistical analysis on research data to identify trends and insights Integrating and analyzing metrics from Google Analytics, email platforms, and social media Creating automated reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including traffic, user retention, and publication reach Setting up a framework for weekly and monthly reporting to support growth and engagement strategies

The main goal for this project is to enhance an existing prototype web application by improving its stability and reliability. This will be achieved through writing comprehensive unit tests and integration tests for both the frontend and backend of the application (both in Next.js!). The app is built using Next.js, MongoDB, and Firebase, and we are aiming to ensure the code is well-tested and the application is running smoothly before it’s deployed on Vercel. What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal? Your tasks will include: Devise a testing strategy:: Collaborate with the team to create a test strategy by identifying high-priority and high-risk areas of the codebase that need thorough testing. Focus on key features, complex logic, and critical integrations, ensuring comprehensive test coverage through unit and integration tests for the most impactful parts of the application. Testing Existing Code: Write and implement unit tests and integration tests for the existing frontend and backend codebase to ensure it meets the required functionality and quality standards. CI/CD Pipelines: Assist in integrating the new tests in CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment workflow. This is a bonus skill we are looking for, but prior experience will be a big plus. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with the team to refine features and fix issues. Document your work and ensure that the tests are properly described for future developers.
