Fruit Trees for All Program Development

The Human Factor Community Organization is a not-for-profit which aims to elevate the status of humankind through programs, services, consulting community partners, and, where appropriate, advocacy in order to increase the health and well-being of the whole human and the communities where we live, play, and work. We are seeking a student who will help us develop the foundation of what will become a youth led initiative aimed to bring awareness of the need to plant fruit bearing trees and bushes in pubic spaces. The student will develop the following: a plan to execute a petition, or group of petitions that will be used to lobby local politicians. a plan to use social media and other means of communication to raise awareness on the issue a media release to show the need to have fruit bearing trees and bushes available for public use plan a demonstration at city hall locations in the County of Simcoe profile local politicians and identify into three groups; those who may, those who may not, and those whose support may be ambiguous. identify area's where fruit bearing trees and bushes can be planted develop an actionable plan that can be enacted upon by local councils. identify possible community partners identify 3 to 5 likely sources of funding. These pieces will result in an actionable plan that youth who are associated with The Human Factor Community Organization will be able to use.

We are seeking a student who can help us create a first draft of a strategic plan for The Human Factor Community Organization. We have some components completed such as vision, mission, value statement, and goals. Where do you come in? We are looking to work with a student who is able to organize the current information, collect statistics relevant to our goals, and develop our goals into actionable items with defined deadlines (these action items will be provided in point form to the student). As well as other components as below. The completed project should be presented in a way that, once edited, is ready to present to the board of directors, community members, and stakeholders. The project will be completed with the following components: An attractive cover page and consecutive page design Visuals relevant to the written content An executive summary History of the organization Vision Mission Value Statements Goals of the organization for the next two years which will include: statements to explain our goals, actionable items to make our goals a reality, a timebound commitments Who the board of directors currently are Contact, social media, and websites Current and proposed programs along with descriptions Who are our clients Who are our potential partners in the community Who are our potential funders and supporters Projected operational budget (core operation) Marketing budget and plan Volunteer plan and budget Include any previous developed budgets for programming A fundraising plan and budget. Upon completion of the 80 hours the student will have gathered, created and put all the above components into an attractive package that can be presented to interested parties.
