Marketing Renewal Project for New Product Launch. The Ski Sock by Boardworks Gear Lab is a first in the industry. It is a ski bag/cover designed to protect skis while in transport on a vehicle's roof ski rack.
The main goal for the project is to renew the marketing efforts for our new ski and snowboard tuning equipment and accessories that are entering the market. This will involve several different steps for the team, including: - Conducting market research to understand the target audience and competition. - Developing a marketing strategy and plan for the new product launch. - Creating promotional materials such as advertisements, social media content, and product descriptions. - Implementing the marketing plan and tracking the performance of the marketing efforts. - Analyzing the results and making adjustments to the marketing strategy as needed. - Redesign product packaging to better inform potential purchasers what the product is and what it does.

We brought a new product to market in 2023. It is a ski bag that was specifically designed to be used with a vehicles roof rack. What makes this product unique is: it is a semi tailored ski cover that does not flap in the wind while in use on a vehicles ski rack thereby protecting the ski and bindings from road salt and debris normally associated with transporting skis on a roof rack. Our problem is that our current packaging design does not inform people of what it does, or what the benefits are at first glance.
