U+ is looking to provide a revolutionary summer camp counselor training program where employees can stay up to date on company values, ethics, SOPs and gain insight about their role. We would like to observe and examine how recommended areas for further training and development, within a short period, can benefit the company.
Onboarding
U+Education would like to improve its onboarding processes by streamlining it. We want the onboarding process to reflect U+ as a company, promoting company culture and increasing employee retention. The onboarding experience should be intuitive, helpful, functional and virtual. Timeline: Report should be completed by Jan 2023 (before a new season of onboarding)
Business Expansion and New Regions
We are looking for assistance in finding and completing business expansion business planning as our NPO is looking to expand in the West of Canada such as Vancouver and bring affordable educational services to communities across Canada. We believe this project will include: Assist with defining a company-identified community gap and defining the scope of a corresponding project. Develop a business strategy/planning that characterizes the community needs and justifies the need for our project and organizational expansion. Assist in Identifying potential business collaborators to support the expansion. Connect with communities and youth to promote NPO's mission.
New Service (Resume editing) Project Management
We are looking for assistance in preparing for a new service launch in 2024 under a not-for-profit NPO organization called U+ Career We believe this project will include: Develop a complete project plan including a schedule, risk assessment and budget, and other required documents. Assist in finalizing the project strategies and timelines. Connect with communities and youth to promote NPO's mission.
New Demographic Marketing and Business Planning
Our company would like to expand to new markets such as Calgary and Vancouver and we would like to understand the local market and make strategies for business planning. Together with our marketing team, we would like students to research customer demographics and targets in the local areas, and design new business strategies for this demographic. Based on our insights and additional research, students will develop promotional marketing plans and make recommendations on the next steps to consider. Tasks include: Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services. Researching the new customer demographic that we would like to reach. Assessing our existing marketing strategy and efforts. Recommending marketing tactics to attract new customers. 3-month and 12-month business planning. Recommending other demographics to consider in the future.
Data Analysis Research - Community
As our organization continues to grow, it is important for us to stay up to date with our data analysis and visualization processes for program registrations. We have a desire to focus specifically on our approaches for understanding both internal and external datasets. In this project, the goal is to use data analysis methods to help our organization derive insights and make more informed decisions. We would like to collaborate with students to analyze our raw datasets. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our project’s objectives and analysis procedures. Checking for and correcting inconsistencies in the dataset. Calculating important results and plotting data in graphs and charts. Performing relevant statistical tests to determine the significance of results. Leveraging existing tools such as Monday.com Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending future areas of programs.

Talent Recruitment and Retention for Summer Camp
As our organization continues to grow, it is important for us to stay up to date with our processes for employee and volunteer recruitment and management. We have a desire to focus specifically on our approaches for attracting & recruiting candidates for specific role/roles. In this project, the goal to create a series of channels to recruit Summer Camp talents to support our growing Camp Program portfolio. Through this collaboration, we would like to deliver three key areas: Identify and set up a variety of channels for talent recruitment for Summer Camp Create a list of suggestions for recruitment methods and channels for Summer Camp Optimize HR SOP and optimize candidate shortlisting techniques, reference check questionnaire review, and employee satisfaction, and performance evaluation

As our organization continues to grow, it is important for us to stay up to date with our processes for staff recruitment and management. We have a desire to focus specifically on our approaches for attracting & recruiting candidates for specific role/roles. The goal is to deliver several HR Management objectives in recruitment, employer handbooks, onboarding site, and policies.. We want to use this opportunity to create an updated and improved HR Management Handbook covering the entire HR life cycle from recruitment, compensation, performance assessment, to exit. We are looking for assistance in creating online surveys from large groups of volunteers. This project is for Educational NPO York Region Educational Services.
