They will conceive and design an original project that incorporates hardware and software related to your organization's challenge. They will research alternative designs, select appropriate strategies and defend your design choices in a final presentation. They will manage the project scheduling and costs to meet broad goals with minimal direction. They will design, construct and test a working prototype; including, a printed circuit board to illustrate the soundness of their design choices.

That includes researching, strategizing and implementing change in marketing flows across the business. They learn how to take advantage of modern marketing mediums like social media and web ads, as well as more conventional methods like brochures.

I would like our students to work on projects looking at Competitive Pressures and Management as part of a business expansion, especially an international expansion. Saskatchewan exports a lot to other provinces, primarily grain and other raw materials. This is predominantly kept within Canada so we would like for students to get exposure to some of the pressures involved in expanding into international markets, including the US and further afield. Some key factors we cover in the course and the students have a good understand of: The importance of international expansion as a viable diversification strategy. Factors that make competing across national borders more complex. The advantages and disadvantages associated with each of the four basic strategies used to expand internationally. The various ways to expand internationally.

Implementation of Blockchain in the Industry

Students get skills to develop blockchain-based solutions to solve problems in the industry. Students will be asked to research your request and propose their solution.
Remote Sensing
Our students from Saskatchewan Polytechnic have a diversity of experiences and skills that they will be able to apply in focused research placements with your organization. The minimum duration of students projects begins at three months but will ideally last for longer than one year. The majors of our students include Mining, Geography, Agriculture, and GIS. We have intakes for students starting in May 2022. Grant funding will be received for the projects - depending on the project, employers may be responsible for financially matching a portion of the funding. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, experiences may take place virtually.
